铁岭市外事学校
铁岭市外事学校是辽宁省人大代表李华于1994年自筹资金创办的，经铁岭市教育局批准的铁岭市第一所民办中等职业学校。是国家级重点中等职业学校，辽宁省职业教育学会副会长单位，民办教育学会副会长单位，中国成教协会会员单位。
1学校简介
学校的饭店服务与管理专业为辽宁省品牌专业，旅游服务与管理专业为辽宁省(重点)示范专业，物流专业、计算机应用与维修专业为铁岭市(重点)示范专业。学校是享誉全国的民办名牌学校。学校占地5.3万平方米，建筑面积1.8万平方米，由教学区、生活区、运动区、休闲区组成，是一所设施全、环境美、条件优秀、符合国家标准的现代化花园式民办职业学校。
学校开设了饭店服务与管理、旅游服务与管理、外语、计算机应用与维修、物流、民航服务、学前教育、宝玉石鉴定与加工、网络监控、电信传媒，播音与主持人等11个热门专业。学校与韩国昌信大学、沈阳师范大学等26所中外高等院校结成了联合办学单位，与万豪国际酒店集团、希尔顿国际酒店集团、深圳华侨城旅游集团等100余家知名企业结成了校企合作单位。实施“订单教育”，形成广泛的就业网络。现有24个教学班，学生1300名，生源来自于辽宁、黑龙江、吉林、内蒙、河南、河北、山东、山西、湖南、广东、福建等十一个省区。
2002年，学校被教育部确定为“十五”规划课题“活化英语口语教学”重点科研项目课题单位，于2005年已顺利结题。现又承担了教育部《中等职业学校语文课为专业课服务的研究及对策》科研课题项目。
2教师队伍
现有教职工106名，其中高、中级职称34人，具有专业资格证书的专业课教师占94%。双师型教师占专业教师总数的60%。毕业生全部在北京、上海、天津、广东、江苏、浙江、海南、辽宁等地的大中城市就业。
3教学设备
学校教学设备先进，设有计算机网络、有线电视、有线广播三大系统，有百兆光纤网与Internet连接，校园网覆盖全部教学场所和管理科室、部门;学校拥有注册网址和主页;实现了校内教育信息共享。学校设有多媒体教室四个、中西模拟餐厅2个、前厅实训室1个、模拟客房1个、微机室4个、计算机160台、语音室2个、形体训练室1个、琴房15个、画室1个、多功能报告厅1个、插花、茶艺实训室1个等共30个实验实训室。学校建有5个导游实习景点(世界文化遗产长廊、铁岭名胜古迹书画长廊、古长城、埃菲尔铁塔、导游文化长廊);图书室160平方米，藏书59780册，资产总值8000余万元。
4教学管理
学校实施了准军事化的科学管理，实行了综合学分制、弹性学制;推行了顶岗实习制、凭证就业制;确保学生百分百就业;突出专业特色，开展校园文化活动，培养学生综合素质的提高;组织师生广泛参加社会实践活动，服务社会，传播礼仪文明;1998年在校内设立了“一人读书、一人就业、一户脱贫、一村致富”为扶贫宗旨的“温暖工程”;2000年设立了“入学奖学金”、“证书奖学金”、“学期奖学金”、“社会实践奖学金”等奖学金制度。
铁岭市外事学校先进的教育教学管理及毕业生100%就业等经验及李华校长的创业历程于2000、2001年实习就业先后被中央电视台《劳动·就业》栏目向全国推广，2005年10月19日，教育部组织的由新华社、中国教育报、光明日报等十八家新闻单位组成的中央新闻媒体职业教育采访团到校对学校的办学事迹进行了广泛的宣传报道。将铁岭的职业教育推向全国，在全国产生良好的影响。
5对外交流
学校走出国门，加强国际交流。2004年7月13日，李华校长亲赴韩国与昌信大学签订了国际合作办学协议，7月21日，市政府主管教育副市长孙德兰亲笔在“国际合作办学协议”上作了批示：“以‘铁岭市民办教育走出国门——外事学校与韩国昌信大学合作办学协议签定’发布新闻稿”，《铁岭日报》对此发布了专题新闻。2006年4月，李华校长随铁岭市教育代表团赴新加坡学习，考察了新加坡技术人才培养的管理与教学模式的创设;5月，在李华校长的盛情邀请下，新加坡著名学者蔡志礼博士来铁岭到外事学校参观、考察、讲学，受到了市委、市政府领导的会见，同时被铁岭市政府聘为铁岭市经济顾问、教育顾问，也被外事学校聘为名誉校长。在互访中，建立了友好关系，同时也为铁岭市搭建了在经济、教育方面国际交流的又一桥梁。
2004年的7月25日，李华校长当选为第二届全国民办教育十大杰出人物，并以“有为才有位”为题在颁奖大会上做了典型发言，由此，将铁岭的民办教育推向全国。
2005年9月5日，校长李华当选为中国职业教育百名杰出校长，并以“让更多的孩子就业成才”为题做了专题发言。
